Responsibilities

  • Assists with and maintains a safe and healthy learning environment using appropriate classroom organization, schedules, and routines and effective classroom and child management techniques.
  • Provides health and nutrition services for infants and toddlers.
  • Assists in implementing developmentally appropriate learning activities for young children based on individual needs in order to advance physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth and development.
  • Supports strong attendance and parent involvement.
  • Collaborates with Head Start team members to ensure high-quality program services and compliance with agency policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • College degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Child and Family Studies or Infant/Toddler CDA.
  • Experience providing professional childcare services to infants/toddlers.
  • Physical ability to supervise a group of 4-8 infants/toddlers.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Verifiable work history.
  • Criminal background checks (fingerprint, vulnerable person's registry, etc.).
