Infant-Toddler Teacher Assistant

About the role

This position supports the infant-toddler program at the Early Learning Center. The role involves assisting teachers in providing care and education to infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in creating and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers.
• Support children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth through various activities and interactions.
• Cook and prepare meals for infants and toddlers under supervision.
• Monitor and record children’s health and developmental progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• At least one of the following qualifications:
• Infant - Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA)
• Associate's Degree, with at least 12 hours of early childhood courses
• Bachelor's Degree, with at least 12 hours of early childhood and/or education courses

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in an educational setting is preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Basic computer skills for managing student records and communication.

Pay

• $16.95 - $17.40 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule

• 8.0 hours per day
• 9:15 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.
• 187 days per year
