About the role

Seton Montessori Institute and School is seeking an Infant & Toddler Program Coordinator to join our leadership team in Clarendon Hills, IL. This full-time, year-round position involves developing and directing infant and toddler programs, supporting teachers, students, and parents, and fostering a welcoming, inclusive culture aligned with our mission and values.

Seton Montessori Institute & School, accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS), has been educating children since 1965 and preparing adults for Montessori work for over 50 years. The school offers all-day and half-day programs for children from infancy through sixth grade on a six-acre campus, serving as a lab school for the Seton Montessori Institute’s teacher education program.

Responsibilities

• Create and support a welcoming and inclusive culture
• Provide leadership to the Infant & Toddler program faculty and staff
• Ensure academic integrity and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards
• Execute educational and administrative policies for the successful operation of the Infant & Toddler programs
• Act as a liaison between staff and administration
• Serve as the primary contact for family relationships with the administration
• Coordinate substitutions, staff meetings, and school closings
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies to ensure complete, beautiful, and age-appropriate Montessori learning environments
• Coordinate the work of teachers, assistants, and student teachers, ensuring adherence to school educational policies
• Observe each classroom regularly to assist teachers in self-evaluation
• Review monthly record-keeping from each classroom and help create action plans as needed
• Support all forms of parent education and involvement in school activities

Requirements

• Montessori Infant-Toddler certification from an AMS or AMI MACTE-accredited program
• Bachelor’s Degree in any subject
• Minimum of three years of experience working with children in a Montessori setting, post-certification

• Completion of IL Department of Children and Family Services (Daycare Licensing) requirements
• Physical dexterity and ability to lift children up to 40 pounds
