Infant Toddler Associate Teacher - Dowagiac
About the role
Flowers Early Learning, formerly known as Tri-County Head Start, is seeking an Infant/Toddler Associate Teacher to join their team in Dowagiac, Michigan. The position serves classrooms with children aged 0-3 and is part of a high-quality preschool committed to building a future where children, families, and communities thrive.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with instruction, classroom management, cleaning, food preparation, and implementing curriculum
- Conduct on-going assessments and observations for infants and toddlers using developmentally appropriate practices
- Adhere to agency policies, Michigan childcare licensing, and Head Start Program Performance Standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must complete age-appropriate Child Development Associate credential, child development apprenticeship, or associate’s degree in early childhood education within two years of hire
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comprehensive fingerprinted criminal background check
- Pre-employment drug screen with a negative result for Amphetamines, Cannabinoids, Cocaine, Opiates, and Phencyclidine (PCP)
Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED: $15.61/hr
- CDA: $15.93/hr
- AA: $17.84/hr
- Bachelors or Higher: $19.12/hr

Pay
$15.61 - $20.94/hr. DOE
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p, 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary due to daily schedule.
