Infant Teacher

About the role

C.A.R.E. For Me Children's Learning Center is looking for a full-time infant teacher with experience in early childhood education and a commitment to the field. Candidate must be committed to professional development, reliable and able to adhere to the hours and schedule given at the time of hire.

Schedule

Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with children and their families
• Communicate daily with parents
• Work with our team of teachers to ensure the proper care of infants and toddlers
• Encourage children to reach developmental milestones through interaction
• Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement

Requirements

• Child Development Associates (CDA) or minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience working specifically with infants and toddlers
• Nurturing
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
• Must be able to move around the classroom quickly
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, get down on the floor with infants and toddlers and respond quickly

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ITERS
• Knowledge of American Sign Language
