About the role

The Infant Development Specialist at Catalyst works closely with infants and toddlers from birth to age three, creating a safe and nurturing environment that supports their holistic development.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement individual developmentally appropriate curriculum and small group experiences that align with the interests and needs of infants and toddlers.
  • Understand and respond to the unique developmental needs of infants and toddlers, ensuring their health and safety.
  • Maintain a safe and enriching learning environment that promotes physical, cognitive, and social-emotional growth.
  • Provide excellent customer service by fostering authentic connections with children, families, and the community.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop high-quality programs and create a supportive workplace environment.

Requirements

  • At least three units specific to the Infant/Toddler (0-3yrs) age group in education, early childhood development, or related fields.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a group care environment, preferably with infants and toddlers.
  • One year of experience supervising adults or equivalent Adult Supervision units.
  • Effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, classroom management, and communication skills.
  • Current adult and infant/child CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field from a nationally accredited institution.
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers, including knowledge of their developmental stages.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of child development theories and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using technology for lesson planning and documentation.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm.
