About the role

This Infant Class Assistant Teacher opportunity at First Presbyterian Church Preschool serves Infant / Toddler (0–2) and requires no formal credential — just relevant experience. Based in Gallatin, TN, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.

Responsibilities

• Create age appropriate lesson plans
• Supervise children constantly
• Stay on top of children's schedules with feedings, nap times, and diaper changing
• Keep the classroom organized and clean
• Communicate with parents throughout the day
• Follow through with planned activities throughout the day
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be a team player and willing to work with others
• Should be able to complete relevant trainings
• Must pass a health screening.
• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Work 7-4 & 8-5
