Infant Care Specialist (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the Role

Provides care for children and instructs parents in the development of child-care skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associate’s (or higher) degree OR two years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of study at an institute of higher learning OR completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test
• One-year experience in early childhood development and/or experience working with young children
• Verbal and written communication skills in English, with demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written, graphic, and oral instructions
• Copy of diploma, transcripts, or test results must be submitted at time of application

Requirements Prior to Start Date

• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• CPR and First Aid Certification (must remain current during employment)
• Bloodborne Pathogens Training as mandated by OSHA

Schedule

• Effective: 2026-2027 school year
• Location: Teenage Parent High School (Broadway and Plumer Ave area)
• FTE: 0.94 (7.5 hours per day)
• Work Calendar: 9.5 months
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits

Pay
