Infant Assistant Teacher

Responsibilities

• Aid in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure safety and cleanliness
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children
• Communicate with parents about their child’s progress and activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines
• Contribute to creating a nurturing learning environment

Requirements

• Must be available Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm
• Preferred one year of experience in this particular age group
• Starting rate of pay is $17 per hour

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting required
• Show empathy and compassion for young children
• Work productively without supervision
• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
