The position of Industry Specialist is currently being managed by a partner company on behalf of a client. They are seeking an experienced technical professional based in the United States.

About the role

This role involves providing application support, reliability guidance, and technical solutions to enhance performance and efficiency for industrial clients. It requires close collaboration with sales teams, distributors, and end-user customers to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a customer-facing technical resource supporting industrial clients, sales teams, and distribution partners.
  • Provide expert guidance, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver technical solutions that strengthen customer relationships and support profitable growth.
  • Build strong customer relationships by providing value-based technical support and reliability expertise.
  • Partner with territory teams and authorized distributors to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities.
  • Provide hands-on product installation support, troubleshooting assistance, and technical failure analysis.
  • Analyze customer manufacturing processes and recommend solutions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Deliver technical training sessions for customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support sales strategies by identifying application opportunities and aligning products and services with customer needs.
  • Introduce new solutions and product offerings to end-user customers.
  • Provide application recommendations related to bearings, seals, services, and related technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and sales teams to validate opportunities and advance technical initiatives.
  • Document technical findings, actions, and recommendations to support business reviews and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • A strong mechanical and technical background with experience in application engineering, industrial reliability, or maintenance-focused roles.
  • Excellent communication skills, a consultative mindset, and the ability to translate technical expertise into customer value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in application engineering, technical project work, maintenance engineering, or related industrial fields.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Experience providing technical support and solutions directly to customers.
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring, reliability practices, and maintenance strategies.
  • Ability to analyze technical challenges and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong customer relationship management and consultative selling skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing opportunity pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to identify business opportunities and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% within the assigned region.
  • Candidates located in the Southwest region, particularly near major metropolitan areas in the region, are preferred.
