What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support a team of Mid-Market sellers focused on achieving revenue goals and delivering strong advertiser outcomes.
  • Drive day-to-day sales execution across pipeline management, account prioritization, opportunity progression, and customer engagement.
  • Coach sellers on core sales fundamentals, including prospecting or account growth, account planning, objection handling, negotiation, and consultative selling.
  • Reinforce clear performance expectations and help team members improve through regular feedback, inspection, and in-the-moment coaching.
  • Monitor key business metrics and use data to identify risks, support execution, and improve team performance.
  • Support accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene by ensuring sellers maintain strong deal discipline and opportunity visibility.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as Sales Strategy, Marketing, Measurement, Operations, and Product to help remove blockers and improve advertiser outcomes.
  • Onboard new team members and reinforce best practices, tools, and team operating rhythms.
  • Build a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team culture where sellers can develop and perform at a high level.
  • Escalate client issues appropriately and partner with internal stakeholders to drive resolution.
  • Champion adoption of Pinterest’s ad products, tools, and measurement capabilities across the team.
  • Contribute feedback on what is working in the market and help improve team processes and playbooks over time.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in digital advertising, media sales, platform sales, or a related customer-facing commercial role.
  • Demonstrated success in a quota-carrying, revenue-driving, or book-of-business environment.
  • Prior leadership experience, which may include direct people management, team lead responsibility, mentoring, coaching, or other informal leadership experience.
  • Ability to coach sellers on core sales skills and support consistent execution against defined goals.
  • Working knowledge of pipeline management, forecasting fundamentals, account planning, and customer relationship management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both clients and internal partners.
  • Comfort using data and reporting to identify issues, track performance, and guide action.
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Interest in growing as a people leader and building an inclusive, high-accountability team culture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as digital media or SAAS sales, or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior direct people management experience.
  • Experience working with Mid-Market advertisers or scaled books of business.
  • Experience in performance advertising, brand advertising, or full-funnel platform solutions.
  • Familiarity with measurement, attribution, and digital media performance metrics.
  • Experience coaching early- or mid-career sellers.
  • Experience partnering with agencies or multi-stakeholder client teams.

In-Office Requirement Statement

This role will need to be in the office or in-market 3 times per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from our Chicago office.

Working Expectations

In-market focused sales team focused on velocity, expect to be traveling in market 50% of the time.
