About the role

Snowflake is seeking a Retail & Consumer Goods Industry Architect to join our Field CTO organization. This role requires a deep understanding of the retail and consumer goods landscape, as well as strong architecture and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic customer engagements
  • Partner with CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, enterprise architects, digital leaders, merchandising leaders, supply chain teams, marketing and loyalty leaders, store operations leaders, and data/AI teams on high-impact initiatives tied to business value.
  • Translate retail and CPG challenges into end-to-end architectures
  • Create clear solution patterns and roadmaps for demand sensing and replenishment, inventory and fulfillment optimization, store and field operations, loyalty and customer intelligence, retail media and monetization, pricing, promotion, and assortment, customer care and service workflows, product, catalog, and content intelligence, revenue growth and commercial planning.
  • Design agentic and AI-powered business workflows
  • Help customers move beyond dashboards and isolated models toward named agents, copilots, and decision-support experiences embedded in real workflows across digital and physical channels.
  • Architect the "last mile" experience
  • Build compelling prototypes and demonstrations

Requirements

  • Retail and Consumer Goods fluent
  • Architect at heart, storyteller by nature

Preferred Background

  • 10+ years of experience building, consulting on, or implementing technology for Retail & Consumer Goods organizations or business units
  • Strong understanding of Retail & Consumer Goods data domains, systems, and processes
  • Familiarity with structured and unstructured data patterns, semantic layers, and text-to-SQL or search-driven experiences
  • Experience building or guiding data and AI applications such as Streamlit apps, internal tools, copilots, agent experiences, or workflow applications
  • Understanding of ecosystem tools and partners commonly found in retail and consumer goods environments
  • Experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong presentation and communication skills across technical and executive audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, business, or related field preferred
