Join our Production Department as an Industrial Wiring Technician III, focusing on the complete assembly and wiring of electrical test equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work independently on larger standard products and smaller non-standard products, consistently meeting or exceeding expectations in quality, accuracy, and time management.
- Communicate effectively with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
- Perform complex soldering, including but not limited to PC boards.
- Assist with on-the-job training as required.
- Follow policies and procedures to maintain high quality and accuracy.
- Complete tasks within the allotted timeframe.
- Solder PC boards and other electrical connections.
- Mount assembled components (e.g., transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, sockets) on chassis panels.
- Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
- Complete assembly and wiring of standard units such as Regulators, D149, Resonant Test Systems, Cable Test Systems, Motor Test Systems, and Transformer Test Systems.
- Assist in different departments as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional workstation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; preferably with classes in Electronics or Electrical Technology.
- Technical School in Electrical Technology is a plus; additional experience may be considered.
- 5-8 years of experience in Industrial Wiring.
- Proficiency in reading Electrical Schematics.
- Strong soldering skills.
- Experience with industrial wiring, including wire layout and routing.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of safety protocols.
Skills
- Use of hand crimpers and cutters.
- Knowledge and use of basic and powered hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, sitting, and use of computers, reading, writing, typing, and communication tools.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds; assistance required for lifting 50 or more pounds.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $23.40 – $29.25, determined by work location, qualifications, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
