Industrial Welder/ Fabricator
About the role
We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Welder/Fabricator for our growing industrial fabrication team in York, PA. This position is considered safety sensitive.
Responsibilities
- Layout, fit up, assemble and fabricate using engineered drawings.
- Weld structural and plate steel parts as specified per drawing and marked up weld symbols.
- Experience with handrail and stair fabrication is preferred.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Obtain and maintain the required welding certification(s).
- Assure the structural components are welded correctly with visual inspection.
- Safely operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinder and magnetic drill and any other required tools of the trade.
- Communicate up and down the line to ensure quality and completeness.
- Assure work is completed in a safe manner while following all required safety policies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to, cleaning work area, operating break machine, shear and other production related jobs.
Requirements
- Prior experience of operating Overhead Cranes is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of welding experience is required.
- Welding certification in D1.1 2G/3G is required.
- Must be flexible to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and understand drawings and instructions.
