Industrial Water Treatment Intern - Summer 2027

Our Earth & Environment Team is seeking a full-time Industrial Water Treatment Intern – Summer 2027 to work out of our Lakewood, CO office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program. This internship will be part of the WSP Summer Internship Program.

Schedule

As a summer intern, you have the opportunity to participate in our 12-week program scheduled to start on May 17th, 2027. The individual start date of the internship may be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Assist with bench-scale and pilot-scale treatability studies including executing test plans, data management, and reporting results.
• Analyzing and managing water quality data.
• Preparing calculations on equipment sizing, reagent consumption, secondary waste generation, etc.
• Writing technical reports summarizing test results, technical information, procedures, etc.
• Support preparation of final design plans and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors to support procurement activities.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
