Industrial Wastewater Staff Process Mechanical Engineer
About the role
The Industrial Water Process Engineer will function as the process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects, applying processes and technologies for various treatment methods. They will also delegate engineering or scientific calculations/drawings to junior staff and collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare process design drawings, specifications, calculations, plans, and other technical deliverables for industrial water projects
- Conduct field work, including surveys/data gathering, construction quality assurance, inspections, bench- and pilot-scale treatability testing
- Support system commissioning and start-up, including training plant staff
- Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings
- Manage projects as necessary to meet both client and Arcadis' expectations
- Supporting business development including proposal preparation and meetings with clients
- Travel as needed for meetings, site visits, etc. (up to 25%)
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in the industrial water/wastewater field
- Preferred Master’s degree in engineering or a related field of study with focus on wastewater treatment process engineering
- 7+ years of experience
- Professional engineer registration in one or more states

Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
