Industrial Surface Mine Electrician

About the role

Responsible for electrical repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment such as conveyor systems, pumps, and crushers at an aggregate production facility.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical systems and power distribution
• Install and maintain high, medium, and low voltage controls
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs
• Interpret electrical blueprints and schematics
• Test and calibrate equipment
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance issues
• Conduct area inspections and support emergency repairs

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience in industrial electrical troubleshooting
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E, controls, and electrical terminology
• Ability to read schematics, work independently or in teams, and use basic tools
• Strong problem-solving and computer skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
• Pass pre-employment physicals, drug tests, and background checks
