About the role
Position: Industrial Sprayer at Bloomfield Plant – Bloomfield, NM
Responsibilities
- Prepares equipment for painting and coating by cleaning, solvent wiping, taping, and papering prior to painting.
- Mixes paint and linings in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
- Visually inspects own work for defects and noncompliance to specifications and makes necessary repairs.
- Performs surface preparation verification in accordance with SSPC for cleanliness and surface profile.
- Conducts coating inspection including dry film thickness gage use, holiday or spark testing, and documents results.
- Monitors and reports ambient conditions (wet bulb and dry bulb temperature, relative humidity, surface temperature) to ensure application requirement compliance.
- Operates fork trucks and overhead cranes while moving equipment in and out of paint booths.
- Assists in other areas with various tasks as required.
- Travels to customer or vendor locations to troubleshoot and fix quality-related issues.
- Applies spray interior tank linings and exterior coatings.
- Inspects coatings and troubleshoots quality issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One year certificate from college or technical school is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- 0–2 years of experience as a blasting or painter’s helper is required.
- Industrial spraying experience is preferred.

Schedule
5 days per week; typically 8-hour shifts. Must be available for overtime as needed.
