About the role

Nesco Resource is sourcing for Industrial Sewers for an Automotive Packaging company in Shelby Township, MI. This is a contractor‑to‑hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Sew automotive transportation bags ranging from 3 lbs to 30 lbs.
• Attach Velcro and webbing by sewing.
• Perform shelf attachment or assembly work for intermediate or advanced sewers.
• Build custom production orders; adapt to varying bag geometry based on the size and shape of the returnable packaging.

Requirements

• Ability to operate an industrial single‑needle sewing machine (double‑needle preferred).

Skills

• Industrial sewing machine operation (single‑needle, double‑needle preferred).
• Ability to adapt to varying bag geometry based on size and shape of returnable packaging.
