About the role
We are seeking a Senior Industrial Project Architect who can leverage their technical expertise to deliver projects across various markets and building types. This role involves working with project managers to plan, design, document, and oversee the construction of diverse facilities including data centers, water treatment plants, manufacturing plants, and more.
Responsibilities
- Lead owner/client and internal meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Manage and undertake design activities and the production of detailed documents required for construction.
- Independently coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team through all phases of a project.
- Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
- Write and edit architectural specifications.
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders.
- Incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents.
- Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed.
- Conduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Client Representatives, Project Managers and other disciplines.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Architecture
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant prior experience in industrial architecture
- LEED Accreditation with experience and/or interest in sustainable design
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff
- Experience facilitating meetings with a range of stakeholders
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years experience as a Registered Architect
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in use of Autodesk Revit and related tools
- Demonstrated graphic presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of codes and good planning skills
