Industrial Security Specialist
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD – fully onsite, five days per week.
About the role
The Industrial Security Specialist (ISS) supports the Customer Security and Trust (CST) organization, specifically the National Security Team (NST) within CST-Operations. This role ensures compliance with federal and internal security standards across Secure Work Areas (SWAs) and select Data Centers. The ISS maintains inspection-ready environments, manages personnel and visitor access, and coordinates incident response activities—all critical to safeguarding national security commitments.
Responsibilities
- Secure Work Areas & Datacenter Operational Compliance: maintain inspection-ready posture (SOP conformance, SF701/702, visitor/access logs, alarm/incident logs).
- Self-Inspections & Perimeter/Ceiling Checks: execute per NST cadence; log findings and track corrective actions (CAPs).
- Personnel Eligibility & Visit Control: verify attributes/eligibilities and visitor prerequisites; prepare escort packages and maintain logs per badge color/clearance protocols.
- Accountability: perform receipt, inventory, transfer, issuance, destruction, and reconciliation of COMSEC material in accordance with NSA and organizational procedures.
- Incident Intake & Investigations Support: assist in investigating and reporting incidents, security violations, and discrepancies.
- Training & Briefings: conduct security education, annual refresher training, and awareness briefings for cleared personnel.
- Governance Artifacts: support DD254-related artifacts and SOW/SLA/MOU/MOA document control to inspection-ready standards.
- Coordinate with internal program teams, government customers, and external agencies on security-related matters.
- Develop, maintain, and update COMSEC procedures and SOPs.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance (minimum requirement; non-negotiable). Full Scope Poly preferred.
- Experience managing COMSEC accounts, safeguarding classified material, supporting security compliance activities, and maintaining accurate accountability records in a fast-paced classified environment.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $45.00 – $50.00 per hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
