About the role
AV Inc. is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to work in a dynamic high tempo environment delivering Mission First results!
Responsibilities
- Maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with DCSA requirements.
- Maintain Facility Security Clearance (FCL) documentation and submission in accordance with DCSA requirements.
- Manage and maintain documentation to include Standard Practice Procedures (SPP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Emergency Action Plans.
- Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
- Provide and document new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefing, investigate and report security violations and incidents.
- Participate in the development and execution of security education programs.
- Participate and oversee annual refresher training to include preparing necessary documentation in support of the DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments.
- Partners with internal and external clients to identify and address escalated contractual, personnel, facility and information security issues in accordance with the NISPOM.
- Provide security support to People & Culture, Contracts, and Proposal teams.
- Manage Open Storage Area(s) (OSA) and restricted areas; including after hour responses.
- Develop and maintain effective “Document Inventory and Control Program” for management of classified systems, media and documents.
- Maintain classified holdings and prepare classified transmittals in accordance with NISPOM guidelines and requirements.
- Perform daily security activities and enforce government and company security policies.
Requirements
- Top Secret level security clearance is required.
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience.
- DCSA Facility Security Officer (FSO) Certification.
- Knowledge of the government security and information assurance processes.
- Experience implementing the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to provide employees with personnel security guidance, consistent with the 13 adjudicative guidelines, to best assist them managing their clearances.
- Experience with protection requirements for handling and safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Familiarity with SIMS.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Corporate Executives and high-end government contacts to provide status updates, ensure compliance with NISPOM requirements and provide guidance on security related questions or concerns.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.

Special Requirements
- U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), per ITAR definition.
