Gulf States Engineering is a leading provider of water and wastewater treatment equipment in the utility side of municipalities and various industrial plants in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and West Tennessee. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage key relationships with accounts, end users, contractors, and engineers in the industrial sector of assigned territory.
  • Territory spans the Lafayette, Lake Charles, and Alexandria industrial markets.
  • Prospect, forecast sales, expand client list, achieve and/or exceed quotas.
  • Develop "out of the box" sales/product strategies to assist our customers in reaching their unique goals.
  • Attend meetings, sales events, and trainings to stay updated on current developments in the markets.
  • Review project submittals, technical prints, and other customer specifications to act as liaison between customer and business.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Experience managing multiple customers in an account and/or territorial environment.
  • Ability to bond and build rapport in a team environment.
  • Candidate is self-motivated and driven, possesses exceptional organizational skills, ability to listen and understand pain points.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and familiarity with navigation of an ERP software for territory reporting.
  • Great people skills, dependable, and passionate about providing our customers with world-class customer service.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Occasional light lifting (20-25 lbs.), office environment.
  • Sit or stand, reach, bend, and move about the facility.
  • Standard office equipment; work usually performed in an office setting free from disagreeable elements.
  • Standard weekly job hours: 40 hours.
