Industrial Sales Account Manager - Valves, regulators & Flow Measurement Devices

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes, maintains, and grows professional business relationships with customers in selected accounts.
  • Promotes and closes potential new customer accounts and sales opportunities.
  • Assesses customer needs for automation & controls, and other ancillary needs (valves/measurements).
  • Maintains comprehensive customer support to enhance customer retention.
  • Builds relationships and assists in influencing customer preferences and specifications, including Puffer-Sweiven products and services.
  • Supports education efforts for customers' company personnel on industry-specific requirements related to represented products and services through solution demos.
  • Supports occasional on-site commissioning and startup requests.
  • Collaborates with operations and service teams to develop proposals, define scopes of deliverables, and advise on technical elements of solutions implementation.

Qualifications

  • Education/Knowledge: BS/BA degree required, engineering or associated technical degree preferred.
  • Experience/Skills: Minimum of 3-5 years proven sales experience in the industrial industry, with experience selling to EPC firms, data centers, municipalities, or manufacturing required. Solid network of current industry contacts is preferred. Experience with control valves, regulators, isolation valves, actuators, measurement devices, or control systems is strongly preferred. Strong information management skills, including personal computer use. Strong written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation skills.
