Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of major industrial construction projects valued at $25 million or more, ensuring they meet or exceed expectations in terms of quality, time and budget.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Oversee all aspects of cost management, ensuring weekly updates on cost projections.
  • Develop financial strategies to maximize project profits, oversee the general conditions budget, and ensure accurate and fair allocation in subcontractor schedules of values.
  • Maintain strict adherence to compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Maintain project schedules, updating owner and subcontractor schedules on a weekly basis, and using the schedule as a tool to track critical dates and communicate key deadlines to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with superintendents, facilitating project site visits and strategy sessions and taking ownership of project-related issues and conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, with at least ten years of construction project management experience preferred.
  • Candidates with equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.
  • PE, PMP credentials highly preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in project management, with at least 3 years focused on industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam and MS Office; experience with Primavera P6 a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively managing team interactions and complex project negotiations.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects without compromising quality.
  • Current valid driver's license.
