About the role

We're looking for an Industrial Project Architect who can lead the design and delivery of industrial-type facilities. This includes data centers, water treatment facilities, public utility facilities, operations centers, aerospace, manufacturing, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Be knowledgeable in technical design concepts, code applications, design management skills, digital technologies, and design workflows for industrial-type facilities.
  • Lead owner/client and internal meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
  • Lead project teams with varied levels of experience to successfully complete and deliver construction documents and intermediate milestone deliverables.
  • Manage and undertake design activities and the production of detailed documents required for construction.
  • Independently coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team through all phases of a project.
  • Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
  • Write and edit architectural specifications.
  • Cook up addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders as needed.
  • Incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents.
  • Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed.
  • Conduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Client Representatives, Project Managers, and other disciplines.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant prior experience in the areas of industrial architecture
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a licensed professional
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu
  • LEED Accreditation with experience and/or interest in sustainable design
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff
  • Experience facilitating meetings with a range of stakeholders, such as engineers, client, contractors, subcontractors, AHJs, etc.

  • US Citizenship required
