Industrial Project Architect (Northcentral)
About the role
We're looking for an Industrial Project Architect who can lead the planning, design, documentation, and construction administration of industrial-type facilities. You'll be working on a diverse range of projects including data centers, water treatment facilities, public utility facilities, operations centers, aerospace, manufacturing, and more.
Responsibilities
- Be knowledgeable in technical design concepts, code applications, design management skills, digital technologies, and design workflows for industrial-type facilities.
- Lead owner/client and internal meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Lead project teams with varied levels of experience to successfully complete and deliver construction documents and intermediate milestone deliverables.
- Manage and undertake design activities and the production of detailed documents required for construction.
- Independently coordinate the work of a multidisciplinary team through all phases of a project.
- Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
- Write and edit architectural specifications.
- Cook up with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders.
- Incorporate agreed-upon changes into project documents.
- Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed.
- Conduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Client Representatives, Project Managers and other disciplines.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant prior experience in the areas of industrial architecture
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a licensed professional
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu
- LEED Accreditation with experience and/or interest in sustainable design
- Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff
- Experience facilitating meetings with a range of stakeholders, such as engineers, client, contractors, subcontractors, AHJs, etc.
