Industrial Painter II (CXT, Inc.)

About the role

Operate a spray painter or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metals or precast products. Trained to mix paints and other required solutions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Safe Start daily meetings.
• Follow all safe work practices and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S standards.
• Carry out verbal and written instructions and complete jobs in a timely fashion.
• Read and interpret work instructions, then execute work per instructions.
• Independently set up, operate, and perform maintenance of latex air sprayers and other paint-related equipment.
• Mix paint colors per specification and apply graffiti protection coating.
• Work with quality and production teams to identify areas for process improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3 years’ experience painting in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment while maintaining safety standards and following all safe work practices.
• Ability to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Ability to wear a full-faced respirator and work inside a paint booth.
• Good visual acuity.
