Industrial Painter/Blaster

About the role

Industrial Painter/Blasters are responsible for maintaining technical equipment, ensuring operational readiness, and utilizing a wide array of painting and blasting tools.

Responsibilities

• Review schedule and prioritize daily work to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Ensure all safety standards are maintained.
• Review inventory against anticipated workload to maintain adequate stocking levels.
• Prepare requisitions for re-stocking and submit to the Manufacturing Manager.
• Design and implement work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service.
• Organize and maintain paint booth and blast area for clean and efficient operations.
• Safely dispose of all waste generated during processes.
• Responsible for masking units/product, mixing viscosity, spraying, and related tasks.
• Assist Logistics Department as needed.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent with previous experience in a similar role.
• Formal training in industrial painting is preferred.
• Specialized knowledge of industrial painting techniques and tools, including inorganic zinc-based paints, water-based zinc paints, and epoxy.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work well with external and internal customers.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and follow work instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; proficiency with basic handheld measuring tools.
• Related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
