Industrial Blaster Painter

Texas Compression is a Houston‑based mechanical and industrial services contractor servicing customers across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.

We are currently looking for experienced local coating technicians for upcoming projects located in Harris, Galveston, Fort Bend, and Brazoria Counties.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation of various substrates using pressure wash, hand preparation, mechanical preparation, and abrasive blast methods.
• Properly mix and apply specialty coatings using brush, roller, and spray methods.
• Apply composite repair and specialty wrap systems.
• Perform general plant maintenance.
• Maintain accurate record keeping on work performed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years previous experience as an industrial blaster/painter.
• NACE CIP1 Certification or NCCER Task 7.1‑7.7 with performance verifications (preferred NCCER Modules 61106, 61207, 61208, 61206).
• Comfortable working in abnormal operating conditions, including confined spaces or environments that pose immediate danger to life and health.
• Ability to work in a highly regulated, detail‑oriented environment with strict adherence to rules and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass the company Driver Certification Program.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
• Clear drug and alcohol screen.
• Clear background check.
• TWIC Basic certification.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to carry up to 100 pounds.
• Willingness to work 10‑12+ hour days.
