Industrial Painter
About the role
Prysmian is seeking a skilled Painter to join our team in McKinney, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brush and roll painting techniques, along with knowledge of spray equipment.
Responsibilities
- Apply Latex, oil-based, and epoxy paints using brush and roll techniques.
- Prepare surfaces (wood, metal, plastic, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) for paint application.
- Ensure proper surface preparation for optimal coating performance.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive movements, frequent walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs., and use of hands to operate tools, parts, and equipment.
Requirements
- Proficient in Brush & Roll painting techniques.
- Knowledge and use of spray equipment (preferred).
- Ability to operate lifts, ladders, and power tools.
- Must be able to distinguish colors on charts, fan decks, and labels.
- Dependable transportation.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Willingness to undergo an onsite drug screen.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in commercial and industrial paint and coating applications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current certifications in safety and health practices preferred.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
