Industrial Multicraft Maintenance Technician on Overnight Shift

About the role

Nashville Wire Products' Material Handling Division, an established local manufacturer of steel wire products for the material handling industry, is accepting resumes for a Multi Craft Industrial Maintenance Technician on the overnight shift at the Northwest Nashville, Tennessee location. This position's duties include preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, integrate, and troubleshoot program logic controllers on machinery
• Work on hydraulic and mechanical stamping presses and various resistance welding systems
• Minimize downtime and recurring problems
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maintain maximum production and quality
• Emphasis on electrical work, with mechanical experience required

Schedule

3:30 pm until 2:00 am, Monday - Friday, with additional overtime as required to meet customer demands. This position typically works approximately 50 hours per week. Double Time incentive is currently offered for ALL overtime hours worked.

Pay progression

Maintenance Class B: $32.50 start, $33.50 at 90 days, $34.50 at 1 year ($1.00/hr shift differential not included). With 50-hour week, shift differential, and double time, the 1-year rate annualized is approximately $110,500.

Maintenance Class A: $35.50 start, $36.50 at 90 days, $37.75 at 1 year ($1.00/hr shift differential not included). With 50-hour week, shift differential, and double time, the 1-year rate annualized is approximately $121,000.

Qualifications

• Steady work history in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Must pass math test including adding and subtracting tape measure fractions
• Must pass tape measure reading test
• Must pass mechanical aptitude evaluation
• Must pass drug screen
• Must pass 7-year background check for misdemeanors and felonies
