Industrial Mechanic

About the role

The Industrial Mechanic position is available at the Winder, GA plant of Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment troubleshooting, including hydraulics and pneumatics. Welding experience and knowledge are required, along with the ability to read and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues and repair failures of production and facilities equipment
• Ensure maximum equipment efficiency in the facility
• Train on days but may be required to move to a rotating schedule
• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical or vocational certification a plus
• 3+ years of experience in equipment troubleshooting, including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Welding experience and knowledge required
• Repair experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and drawings
• Able to occasionally lift 75 pounds
• Able to work at heights
• Own tools

Pay

The base hourly rate for this position is $33.19.

Schedule

This position includes a rotating schedule of 2-2-3 / 12 hour shifts (days/nights).
