About the role
As an Industrial Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on industrial equipment and machinery
- Performing preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Maintaining and repairing engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and powered equipment
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components to identify root causes of failures
- Completing welding repairs and fabrication projects as needed
- Replacing tires, wheels, and related components on light and heavy-duty equipment
- Inspecting machinery to identify wear, damage, or safety concerns
- Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and repair documentation
- Ensuring compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Assisting with equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades
- Supporting production operations by responding quickly to maintenance requests
Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous industrial maintenance or mechanical repair experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience maintaining hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Preferred: Welding experience including arc, MIG, or acetylene welding
