Industrial Mechanic

About the role

The Industrial Mechanic position at Johns Manville's Winder, GA plant is seeking individuals with a strong background in equipment troubleshooting, welding experience, and repair skills. This role involves maintaining and repairing production and facilities equipment to ensure maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues with production and facilities equipment
• Ensure maximum equipment efficiency in the facility
• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment troubleshooting, including hydraulics and pneumatics
• Welding experience and knowledge
• Repair experience with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work at heights
• Own tools

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational certification is a plus
• Pass a drug screening, background check, and medical clearance

Pay

The base hourly rate for this position is $33.19.

Schedule

This position includes a rotating schedule of 2-2-3 / 12 hour shifts (days/nights).
