Industrial Maintenance - Waterloo Pork Plant

Tyson Foods is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at our state-of-the-art food processing plant. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for this role. Rehires must wait 180 days and are limited to three prior employments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience and/or training in one or more of the following areas:
  • Mechanical troubleshooting
  • Electrical/Electronic troubleshooting
  • Hydraulic troubleshooting
  • PLC troubleshooting and navigation
  • Welding/Fabrication
  • AC/DC control wiring
  • Motor control
  • 3-phase wiring
  • Plumbing
  • Conveyor maintenance
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatic systems
• Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery used in food processing
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, electrical issues, and mechanical failures
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and any additional recommendations
