Industrial Maintenance Technician Trainee - 2nd shift

About the role

Pitney Bowes is now hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician Trainee in our Indianapolis, IN facility. 2nd shift (2pm – 10:30pm Monday - Friday)

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including printer and mail sorting equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to Mail Preparation Total Quality Management and vendor operating standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdown or emergency situations with urgency and expediency.
• Utilize inventory, PM schedule and work order systems, and maintains the spare parts/supply inventory.
• Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
• Perform all additional duties as required

Requirements

• Experience trouble-shooting and repairing complex mechanical equipment with at least one year of break/fix mechanical experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment preferred.
• Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Pay

Base Rate: $26.00/hr $1.00/hr additional for 2nd shift

Schedule

2nd shift (2pm – 10:30pm Monday - Friday)
