About the role

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician/Millwright, you will perform highly skilled mechanical maintenance on heavy equipment and machinery used in lumber manufacturing. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing downtime in a high-performing, safety-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work safely and adhere to all Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain machinery and equipment, including motors, conveyors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Install bearings, couplings, belts, sprockets, drive chains, and other mechanical components.
  • Identify root causes of machine failures during downtime and restore equipment to effective operating condition.
  • Perform welding, lubrication, cleaning, housekeeping, and other assigned duties.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment proficiently.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment issues.
  • Work in extreme temperatures, dusty and noisy conditions while wearing required safety equipment.
  • Complete forklift training and other job-specific or safety training as assigned.
  • Lift up to 20 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally; climb steps and ladders; work from heights; and stand or walk for 2-3 hours at a time for 10+ hours per day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience and/or an Associate's degree in Industrial Technology or a similar field.
  • Proven skills in all aspects of industrial mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring, and test instruments.
  • Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.
  • Steady, documented work history.
  • Basic computer skills and team-oriented mindset.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work all shifts, weekends, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work in small, restricted areas and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Experience with Allen Bradley equipment.
