About the role
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician/Millwright, you will perform highly skilled mechanical maintenance on heavy equipment and machinery used in lumber manufacturing. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency and minimizing downtime in a high-performing, safety-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform work safely and adhere to all Company safety policies and procedures.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain machinery and equipment, including motors, conveyors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Install bearings, couplings, belts, sprockets, drive chains, and other mechanical components.
- Identify root causes of machine failures during downtime and restore equipment to effective operating condition.
- Perform welding, lubrication, cleaning, housekeeping, and other assigned duties.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and test equipment proficiently.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring equipment issues.
- Work in extreme temperatures, dusty and noisy conditions while wearing required safety equipment.
- Complete forklift training and other job-specific or safety training as assigned.
- Lift up to 20 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally; climb steps and ladders; work from heights; and stand or walk for 2-3 hours at a time for 10+ hours per day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience and/or an Associate's degree in Industrial Technology or a similar field.
- Proven skills in all aspects of industrial mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring, and test instruments.
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
- Strong root cause analysis skills.
- Steady, documented work history.
- Basic computer skills and team-oriented mindset.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to work all shifts, weekends, call-ins, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Ability to work in small, restricted areas and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience with Allen Bradley equipment.

- Competitive pay range: $27.07/hr. to $37.00/hr. with opportunities for advancement.
- Additional $3.00 per hour Maintenance Weekend Premium on Saturdays and Sundays.
