About the role
The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled electro-mechanical repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation tasks on plant equipment, machinery, and facility systems within a food manufacturing environment. This role is critical to supporting production uptime, equipment reliability, food safety, and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks on plant equipment and machinery.
- Complete scheduled maintenance to support equipment reliability and production uptime.
- Respond to equipment stoppages, mechanical breakdowns, and urgent repair needs.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and replace worn or defective parts, motors, control devices, PLCs, VFDs, and related components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Test equipment and machinery after repairs and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures, including GMPs, HACCP, safety standards, and food manufacturing requirements.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment performance, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties deemed by Management to be an integral part of the position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial or industrial maintenance-related experience and/or training preferred.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial electrical controls, VFDs, HMIs, and PLCs.
- Ability to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment and machinery, and make adjustments.
- Strong mechanical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Part-time availability of at least three days per week, with weekend availability strongly preferred.
- Flexibility to support the needs of the department, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and occasional on-call support.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.

Pay

Schedule
Part-time, at least three days per week; weekend availability preferred. Typical start times are between 4:00 AM and 5:00 AM, with Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday being the most common scheduled days. Schedule may vary based on business needs.
