About the role
Your main responsibility is to improve safety, quality, and efficiency by performing preventative, routine, and emergency mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and providing effective troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance to all plant machinery
- Carry out the preventative maintenance program for the plant
- Able to accept and control maintenance operations and communicate non-compliance problems to supervisor for instruction
- Identify and address safety concerns throughout the facility
- Maintain general housekeeping and organization of maintenance department and all equipment repair work areas
- Minimize downtime
- Continuously review the operation of plant equipment and systems
- Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Effective troubleshooting
- Must have knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs through a quick and effective root cause analogy
- Able to accurately fill out documentation on work orders
- Able to perform emergency maintenance repairs to all plant machinery
Requirements
- Knowledge of motor control systems, hydraulic systems, fire protection and mechanical bearing systems
- Knowledge of equipment installation
- Ability to interpret blueprints to properly fabricate parts and equipment
- Ability to correctly retrieve and input data in computer using Excel and CMMS System
- Strong mechanical industrial knowledge and basic electrical knowledge
- Ability to operate motor control systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, hoists, fire protection and mechanical bearing systems
- Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Experience operating metal working tools such as grinder, band saw, drill press, welding equipment, etc.
- Mechatronics certificate is strongly desired but not required
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

- Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Experience operating metal working tools such as grinder, band saw, drill press, welding equipment, etc.
