Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Support commissioning and qualification activities for bioreactors, water systems, process equipment, and utility systems.
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repairs, including correcting system deficiencies, repairing leaks, and verifying valve positions.
  • Execute system walkdowns and verify equipment installation against P&IDs and design documentation.
  • Auxiliary with equipment calibrations and functional testing to ensure systems are ready for operation.
  • Support the integration and startup of automated systems by ensuring mechanical and process equipment are functioning properly.
  • Work closely with engineers, mechanics, and CQV personnel to identify and resolve startup and commissioning issues.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to perform equipment adjustments, repairs, and system modifications as needed.
  • Participate in commissioning, turnover, startup, and qualification activities to support project milestones.
  • Maintain compliance with site safety requirements and industry best practices.
  • Document completed activities and communicate system status updates to project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No college degree required.
  • Experience performing mechanical maintenance, commissioning, qualification, construction, industrial maintenance, or related field work.
  • Ability to read and walk down P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
  • Experience using common hand and power tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on, field-based work.
  • Understanding of piping systems, valves, pumps, and process equipment preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work safely in an active construction and startup environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and commissioning teams.
  • Open to candidates with a few years of experience as well as seasoned professionals.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive pay: $35–$50/hour
