About the role

Lifetime Products, Inc., is seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join their team in a new state-of-the-art facility in Mascot (Knoxville), Tennessee.

Responsibilities

- Perform highly diversified duties in a wide variety of machine maintenance functions such as installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems. - Experience should include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatics. - Make sound repair decisions following the established best practices of the department, with regard to maintaining equipment function, operation, and safety. - Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. - Inspects machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. - Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area. - Inspects parts to detect wear or other problems. - Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of system. - Locates damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, and measures, cuts, threads, and installs new pipe. - Operates machines and equipment to test operation following repair. - Repairs broken parts. - Assists Mechanical Engineer to modify drawings or designs. - Troubleshoot and understand electrical circuits, schematics, and prints. - Stays calm and methodical in high stress situations.

Requirements

- Must be a great communicator with a positive attitude and a good mechanical aptitude and experience with the setup, operation, and trouble shooting of automated production machinery. Experience with plastics blow molding experience is a plus. - Valid driver’s license is required and will be required to become forklift certified. - Overtime and some Saturdays may be required, as well as some flexibility with hours or on-call availability. - Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents. - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and ability to deal with problems involving several variables. - Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office which include Outlook, Word, and Excel. - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
