Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations.
• Install, adjust and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer and other related equipment.
• Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin and other equipment changes.
• Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses.
• Inspect, rebuild and replace valves and pumps.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment.
• Maintain machines in optimal processing condition.
• Weld, fabricate, and repair various machines.
• Troubleshoot, locate root problems and repair blow mold, baggers & support equipment.
• Operate blow mold or injection machines.
• Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis.
• May assist in resolving unusual problems.
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance experience specifically in the manufacturing industry.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred.
• OSHA Forklift certification preferred.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment

• Exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.

About the Role

Altium Packaging is seeking a fully competent Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position involves performing repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow mold equipment and facility. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, installing and repairing equipment, and maintaining machines in optimal condition. The role also requires communication with other departments and occasional overtime.
