Maintenance Technician II

Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems, track and order replacement parts, and complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls.

• Support manufacturing operations
• Adjust and repair equipment as needed
• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Interpret and follow electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data
• Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field is desired
• Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality
• Able to assist in Training Level I Technicians
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (ex. welding, basic machining)
• Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
• Able to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
• Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
