Multiple openings in Longmont, Colorado. Night shift (5:45 PM – 6:15 AM) with a $3/hour shift differential. Base rate: $41.57/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture consumer foods in compliance with all food-safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support and follow company/site safety policies; identify and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Operate, maintain, and clean production equipment; follow and improve documented operational, maintenance, and sanitation standards in a GMP environment.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, sanitation, preventative maintenance, work orders, and lubrication to maximize equipment performance.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace complex processing and packaging equipment, including:
    • Mechanical components (conveyor belts, bearings, motors, pulleys, shafts, gearboxes).
    • Pneumatic components (air cylinders, diverters, hoses, regulators, pumps, valves).
  • Use drawings, prints, and manuals to guide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Coach team members on technical skills, machine functionality, defect identification, and equipment repairs.
  • Participate in training and qualification programs; maintain consistent qualification standards.
  • Use continuous-improvement tools to eliminate losses, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventative actions.
  • Own one or more technical, safety, or quality systems; build technician skill and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Create and update documentation (SOPs, job aids, PM improvements).
  • Increase skills via technical training, vendor visits, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records of repair/maintenance activities, parts usage, and time tracking.
  • Facilitate shift pass-down to discuss safety, quality, and production issues.
  • Lead projects to improve safety, quality, and production in designated areas.
  • Work collaboratively and assist fellow employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s or technical degree/training (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of mechanical or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret safety rules, GMPs, and general instructions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, team-oriented environments.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to walk, stand, and climb steps.
  • 12-hour night shifts (5:45 PM – 6:15 AM).
  • Frequent squatting, kneeling, and bending.
  • Tolerate exposure to flour, yeast, oils, peanut butter, and other materials.
  • Occasional lifting of 50+ pounds.
  • Must pass an occupational physical test and a standard eye exam (minimum 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without corrective lenses).

Work Environment

  • 2-2-3 weekly schedule format; weekend work required.
  • Moderate to high noise levels; hearing conservation program in place.
  • Temperature varies between hot and cold conditions.
  • Operating, being near, and crossing platforms/ladders over or under machinery.
  • Computer usage required.
