Primary Purpose

Essential Job Functions And Duties
- Handle scheduled routine general preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as non-routine emergency repairs.
- Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment.
- Break down and adjust equipment and machines for optimal performance.
- Perform emergency repairs, requiring the ability to troubleshoot promptly and effectively.
- Adhere to all safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, and following lockout-tagout procedures and process safety management guidelines.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED, technical training, or a combination of on-the-job training, informal training, and formal training.
- 4–6 years’ experience as a general maintenance mechanic, preferably in manufacturing.
- Understands basic theory, practical knowledge, and skills to function as a mid-level mechanic safely and successfully.
- Demonstrates proven ability in 2–3 of the following technical skill areas: Maintenance Fundamentals, Electrical Power, Mechanical Concepts, Electrical Controls, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Analog & Drive Control, PLCs, Welding (Arc/Stick/TIG).
- Certified in general maintenance skills including but not limited to welding, math for mechanics, assembly conveyors, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, fabrication, and safety.
- Strong mechanical and mathematical skills.
