Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II HVAC - Night Shift
About the role
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II- HVAC position is available in Ocotillo, AZ. The shift is night shift from 3:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with alternating work weeks. The hourly wage range is $20.00 - $24.00, determined by qualifications, internal equity, and market data.
Responsibilities
- Assists higher-level technicians in responding to work orders and providing service and feedback to customers on all work orders.
- Trains and assists in troubleshooting mechanical systems and equipment such as pumps, bearings, blowers, fans, gearboxes, air handlers, and other equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and implements required preventative maintenance actions like lubrication, cleaning, and filter changes.
- Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
- Communicates effectively with customers and colleagues, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of maintenance experience in HVAC or Facility Maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work in aerial lifts or scissor lifts at heights up to 30 feet.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of facility mechanical systems such as heating and ventilation, plumbing, conveyors, and R.O. systems.
- Experience in industrial, large commercial, or logistics distribution environments.
- High attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, cooperative, customer service-minded attitude; team player.
- Ability to work with little or no direction.
- Ability to interpret various instructions.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Repetitive wrist movement.
- Walking throughout facilities during a workday.
- Climbing extension ladders, roof ladders, stepladders, and stairs.
- Bending/stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching/stretching, and moving in a 90-degree fashion.
- Differentiating colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
- Reading and understanding information from documents or computer screens.
- Using a variety of office equipment and operating a computer keyboard.
- Moving light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets, and other storage locations.
- Communicating with others on the phone and in meetings.
- Using a variety of office equipment and operating a computer keyboard.
- Interacting with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements
- Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
- Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.
Additional Information
Qualified candidates who are offered positions must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position may require a valid Driver’s License. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.
Compensation Details
$25 per hour.
