Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

About the role

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Orangeburg, NY.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, modify and maintain manufacturing mechanical equipment & systems
• Supports and participates in current and new safety initiatives / policies business needs
• Oversees and / or performs new equipment installations
• Utilizes hand and portable power tools and follows safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance
• Ensures operations technicians understand and follow safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance
• Provides advice to management regarding equipment life and usage and in researching new equipment purchases
• Captains and oversees the movement of furniture and/or materials and equipment as required
• Maintains and updates control documents, as well as performs preventive maintenance on equipment and plant systems

Requirements

• A High School diploma / GED is required
• Three to five (3-5) years Industrial Maintenance experience or similar mechanical experience
• Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics; and mechanical blueprints
• Basic computer skills in EAM and Microsoft Outlook are necessary for this role
• A flexible schedule to support manufacturing needs

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Must be able to pass a background check

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Pay

The salary range for this posting is $26.54-$36.49.
