Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Join us as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in our Blue Anchor, NJ plant, where you'll collaborate with our team to keep operations running smoothly and continuously improve our machinery and maintenance department.

About the role

We currently have openings on our day and night shift teams. New hires have one year from their hire date to obtain a license from the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. In this role, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment, collaborate with team members to keep production lines running, and gain proficiency in specialized equipment and automation systems. You’ll also have opportunities to pursue certifications or additional training to enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to keep production moving smoothly.
• Manage machine performance by performing equipment set-up, change-overs, and responding quickly to equipment breakdowns to facilitate production.
• Understand, follow, and enforce all established guidelines, including safety, health, quality, and company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and complete repetitive tasks throughout the day.
• Experience with troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States (Kellanova does not sponsor employment visas for this role).

Pay

Starting rate: $31.55–$35.72 per hour. Additional hourly pay for New Jersey State Refrigeration/Boiler Licenses:

• Black/Blue: +$1.50
• Black/Blue/Red: +$3.00
• Black/Blue/Red/Gold: +$4.50
