About the role
Celanese is a global company with facilities worldwide, specializing in a wide variety of products and applications. Our Winona, MN site is seeking a skilled individual to join our Maintenance and Reliability team at a state-of-the-art production facility within the pultrusion industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality and timely maintenance work.
- Troubleshoot in collaboration with other work groups (Reliability, SME, etc.) to complete tasks.
- Perform and complete Root Cause Analysis.
- Identify hazards and mitigate them appropriately; follow safe work procedures or adjust working conditions.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Review jobs, understand scope, and prepare pre-task plans to perform work safely in accordance with Conduct Ops.
- Identify and correct or take proper action on emerging issues or discoveries; provide feedback on task instructions.
- Obtain corresponding work permits and communicate effectively with operations (24/7 Team) or other impacted groups for effective hand-offs.
- Generate ideas and improvement projects/procedures; help generate ideas for in-house cost savings/reliability projects.
- Assist with post-PM startups for maintenance return to service of equipment.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of basic electrical function/knowledge (fuses, resets, low voltage repairs).
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support the 24/7 Team.
- Work with the Stores Program owner to ensure parts are available when needed.
- Communicate with Team Captain and Asset Leader if additional resources are needed from outside the Unit Team to safely or efficiently complete projects.
- Obtain a Registered Unlicensed Electrician Card through the State.
- Obtain a Class C Boiler License.
- Assist with training TREs on basic adjustments for equipment setup.
- Assist in training Process Experts in basic machine functionality.
- Perform welding and demonstrate a basic understanding of metal fabrication.
- Experience with programming controls, HMIs, PLCs, etc.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Mechanical and Electrical experience required.
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced, industrial setting; Mechanical/Electrical degree may substitute for experience.
- Experience running or maintaining pultrusion equipment preferred.
- Strong understanding of troubleshooting procedures and Root Cause Analysis.
- Strong electrical knowledge/understanding with the ability to obtain an Unlicensed State Card.
- Boiler License preferred; ability to obtain upon hire.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
